Capturing Technologies

Smart Fit
Automatically delivers the highest possible production quality by calculating the available DVD disc space.

MPEG@Best
This new technology dynamically optimizes your video quality during real time encoding by intelligently monitoring the CPU capacity.

Enhanced MPEG Encoder
A new codec engine helps maintain the original quality of a video source after converting to MPEG format.

Right-to-Disc™ Recording
Allows you to record video directly from a DV camcorder to DVD without writing to a hard drive buffer first, reducing large hard disk requirements in the process. Video from a TV, PC Camera, or VCR may be transferred into DVD-VR, DVD+VR, DVD-Video formatted discs, and even DVD+R9 double-layer and dual layer discs.

Pre-defined Video Capturing Profiles
Automatically defines the capturing profile when the desired disc output format is selected so that you don't need to configure the bit-rate.

InstantMPEG™
Transcodes DV files into MPEG in real-time. Saves valuable hard disk space and time.

Auto-Chapter
Automatically separates a video file into chapters during the recording process for fast and easy chapter creation.

Auto-File Separation

Estimates the length of a file and the available disc space, then only records up to the disc size limit. It continues recording subsequent files on the successive discs, making it easy to produce disc compilations. Each disc indicates where each file appears within the set.
